Description
The Classic Series 12" x 12" Left Swing Vented Door (C-VSDL12) is a small access door for reaching valves and utility lines inside an island, with vents that let air move through.
It measures 12" W x 12" H x 1-5/8" D and fits a 9-1/4" W x 9-1/4" H cut-out. The depth from the face to the frame mounting hole is 1", and it fits a typical 4" island frame.
The frame is 16 gauge 304 stainless steel and the door panel is 18 gauge 304 stainless steel, with a No. 4 light brushed finish and the same flush style as the rest of the Classic Series. It closes with a turn-latch, so there is no handle. This is the left swing version (the right swing is item C-VSDR12). The door opens 180 degrees on exposed hinges. Shipping & returns
Shipping & Delivery
All orders ship free to the 48 contiguous United States.
Larger (freight) shipments are curb-side only. A signature and possibly assistance may be required for unloading. We will work with you to arrange a delivery date and time, but the final details will be between you and the freight carrier.
IMPORTANT: ALL LTL DELIVERIES ARE CURBSIDE UNLESS WHITE GLOVE FEES ARE PAID. All reports of damage must be made within 3 business days after delivery.
Receiving Your Shipment
When the shipment arrives, please do the following:
- Inspect every box carefully before signing. There is no such thing as damage that is too small: dents, tears, crushed corners, punctures, or scuffs should all be noted.
- Take clear photos of any box that shows damage.
- On the delivery receipt, write down exactly how many boxes have visible damage. If it is electronic, have the driver show you where to notate the damage. Before handing it back, take a photo of the document showing your notation.
After the driver leaves, please immediately open and inspect the items themselves. If you find any damage, contact us with the following:
- A photo of the item unboxed with the damage visible
- A close-up photo of the actual damage
- A photo of the delivery document where you noted the box damage
These steps ensure we can file a claim quickly and get any replacement parts or items to you without delay.
Returns & Exchanges
Returns are accepted within 60 days of original purchase, in original packaging and unused, for a full refund minus a 15% Restocking Fee.
We recommend insuring products when shipping back to us. Returns will be rejected if the product is received damaged.

I needed a small access point for my gas line and this was just the ticket. The flush style looks really clean with my stucco island. Easy install and it feels solid.
Exactly what I was looking for to hide some electrical connections in my new outdoor kitchen. Stainless feels durable and the vents are nice for airflow. Sunstone makes good stuff.
Decent access door for the price. Sturdy and the left swing works for my setup. Only small complaint is the magnet could be a little stronger, not a dealbreaker.
Used this for plumbing access under my outdoor sink. The 12"x12" size is perfect for getting to the shut-off valves, and the venting is good for keeping things aired out. It blends in nicely with the rest of my Sunstone components.
Really impressed with this door. Right size for getting to my gas tank and the flush mount looks great. Quality is what I expect from Sunstone.
