Description
The Classic Series 17" x 24" Vertical Door (DV1724) is a reversible, non-vented access door for storage or utility lines inside an outdoor kitchen island.
It measures 20" W x 27" H x 1-5/8" D and fits a 17-1/4" W x 24-1/4" H cut-out, with a 1-1/2" flange. It weighs 11-1/2 lbs.
The frame is 16 gauge 304 stainless steel and the door panel is 18 gauge 304 stainless steel, finished in No. 4 light brushed with the flush style of the Classic Series. Rotate the door 180 degrees for a left or right swing. It opens 180 degrees on exposed hinges, magnets against a 430 stainless steel strike plate hold it closed, and it comes with the Polished Chrome Handle (zinc alloy, chrome plated). Shipping & Delivery
All orders ship free to the 48 contiguous United States.
Larger (freight) shipments are curb-side only. A signature and possibly assistance may be required for unloading. We will work with you to arrange a delivery date and time, but the final details will be between you and the freight carrier.
IMPORTANT: ALL LTL DELIVERIES ARE CURBSIDE UNLESS WHITE GLOVE FEES ARE PAID. All reports of damage must be made within 3 business days after delivery.
Receiving Your Shipment
When the shipment arrives, please do the following:
- Inspect every box carefully before signing. There is no such thing as damage that is too small: dents, tears, crushed corners, punctures, or scuffs should all be noted.
- Take clear photos of any box that shows damage.
- On the delivery receipt, write down exactly how many boxes have visible damage. If it is electronic, have the driver show you where to notate the damage. Before handing it back, take a photo of the document showing your notation.
After the driver leaves, please immediately open and inspect the items themselves. If you find any damage, contact us with the following:
- A photo of the item unboxed with the damage visible
- A close-up photo of the actual damage
- A photo of the delivery document where you noted the box damage
These steps ensure we can file a claim quickly and get any replacement parts or items to you without delay.
Returns & Exchanges
Returns are accepted within 60 days of original purchase, in original packaging and unused, for a full refund minus a 15% Restocking Fee.
We recommend insuring products when shipping back to us. Returns will be rejected if the product is received damaged.

Just put this door in my new outdoor kitchen island and it's great. Being able to pick left or right swing when you install it made it easy to fit my design. Feels sturdy and looks good with my other Sunstone pieces.
Exactly what I needed for my BBQ island. Install was pretty easy and reversing the swing was no problem. Only small gripe is I wish the handle was a little beefier, but it's still a great door.
Does the job for getting to my propane tank and the size is good. Compared to some other outdoor kitchen doors I've seen though, the metal feels thinner than I expected for the price. Looks fine, hoping it holds up.
I build outdoor kitchens and recommend Sunstone stuff a lot, this door included. Great stainless, and being able to swing it left or right is a big plus on custom builds. Clients always like how it looks.
Wanted an affordable door that was still good quality for my DIY outdoor kitchen and this was it. Fits right in and makes the setup look finished. Nice that it installs either way, saved me some planning headaches.
