Description
The Sunstone 10" Wide Pro-Sear Cooking Grate (SUNCP-SEAR) is a 304 stainless steel high heat searing grate for natural gas or propane grills. It is double layered, with channel tubes that spread the heat across the searing surface, and it reaches over 700 degrees at the grilling surface. Other brands often quote the temperature at the burner, which always runs hotter than the surface you actually sear on.
The grate is perforated and handles hot dogs, bacon, ribeyes and other steaks, burgers, asparagus and other vegetables. It drops in as an insert on any Sunstone or Ruby grill, or sits on top of the cooking grates on other grills. Use one by itself or several side by side to build a multi-configurable searing setup.
It is made from 18 gauge 304 stainless steel and measures 10" W x 1-1/8" H x 19-1/8" D. It ships fully assembled, so it goes straight from the box onto the grill.

Shipping & Delivery
All orders ship free to the 48 contiguous United States.
Larger (freight) shipments are curb-side only. A signature and possibly assistance may be required for unloading. We will work with you to arrange a delivery date and time, but the final details will be between you and the freight carrier.
IMPORTANT: ALL LTL DELIVERIES ARE CURBSIDE UNLESS WHITE GLOVE FEES ARE PAID. All reports of damage must be made within 3 business days after delivery.
Receiving Your Shipment
When the shipment arrives, please do the following:
- Inspect every box carefully before signing. There is no such thing as damage that is too small: dents, tears, crushed corners, punctures, or scuffs should all be noted.
- Take clear photos of any box that shows damage.
- On the delivery receipt, write down exactly how many boxes have visible damage. If it is electronic, have the driver show you where to notate the damage. Before handing it back, take a photo of the document showing your notation.
After the driver leaves, please immediately open and inspect the items themselves. If you find any damage, contact us with the following:
- A photo of the item unboxed with the damage visible
- A close-up photo of the actual damage
- A photo of the delivery document where you noted the box damage
These steps ensure we can file a claim quickly and get any replacement parts or items to you without delay.
Returns & Exchanges
Returns are accepted within 60 days of original purchase, in original packaging and unused, for a full refund minus a 15% Restocking Fee.
We recommend insuring products when shipping back to us. Returns will be rejected if the product is received damaged.

This sear grate is great. The 304 stainless holds heat really well and my steaks get restaurant quality sear marks every time. Built like a tank, fits right in my grill, and cleanup is easy too.
I'm always looking to up my grilling and this 10" wide sear grate delivered. The high heat searing is no joke, my burgers and chops get a great crust. Solid piece that feels like it'll last a long time.
I've tried other sear grates and none compare. You can feel the heavy 304 stainless the second you pick it up. Gets really hot and stays hot, which is what you need for a real sear. Even my grilled veggies taste better with the char.
Does what it promises. Sears great and it's durable since it's 304 stainless. Fits my grill well and definitely improves the crust on my meat. Minor gripe is the price feels steep for one grate, but the quality is there.
Really impressed with this sear grate. 10 inches wide is perfect for searing several things at once. The stainless holds heat well and keeps the juices and flavor in. A must if you're serious about grilling.
