Description
The 18" Sunstone Universal Appliance Jacket (SUNJK18) is a double-walled 304 stainless steel enclosure for setting a burner such as the SUN13CPRO or SUN13VDB into an outdoor kitchen or BBQ island. It gives the burner a heat barrier and proper venting, and it takes several burner brands out of the box with minor assembly.
It fits most burners with a maximum cut-out of 12" W x 10" H x 22" D. The burner rests on the upper rim and hangs free inside the jacket, 1" above the counter. A self-supporting raised ledge runs around the sides and back, and the jacket is a zero clearance design.
Vents along the lower front edge and upper back edge let excess heat and gas pass through. Covered utility ports let you open only the side your gas or electrical line uses; the others stay covered. It works with natural gas or propane burners. You can also fasten a cabinet peg-leg to each bottom corner and set the jacket on a picnic table or blocks until the island is built. Shipping & Delivery
All orders ship free to the 48 contiguous United States.
Larger (freight) shipments are curb-side only. A signature and possibly assistance may be required for unloading. We will work with you to arrange a delivery date and time, but the final details will be between you and the freight carrier.
IMPORTANT: ALL LTL DELIVERIES ARE CURBSIDE UNLESS WHITE GLOVE FEES ARE PAID. All reports of damage must be made within 3 business days after delivery.
Receiving Your Shipment
When the shipment arrives, please do the following:
- Inspect every box carefully before signing. There is no such thing as damage that is too small: dents, tears, crushed corners, punctures, or scuffs should all be noted.
- Take clear photos of any box that shows damage.
- On the delivery receipt, write down exactly how many boxes have visible damage. If it is electronic, have the driver show you where to notate the damage. Before handing it back, take a photo of the document showing your notation.
After the driver leaves, please immediately open and inspect the items themselves. If you find any damage, contact us with the following:
- A photo of the item unboxed with the damage visible
- A close-up photo of the actual damage
- A photo of the delivery document where you noted the box damage
These steps ensure we can file a claim quickly and get any replacement parts or items to you without delay.
Returns & Exchanges
Returns are accepted within 60 days of original purchase, in original packaging and unused, for a full refund minus a 15% Restocking Fee.
We recommend insuring products when shipping back to us. Returns will be rejected if the product is received damaged.

This jacket fit my outdoor burner perfectly, which was a relief. The stainless steel is solid and it definitely adds a layer of safety, but for just an enclosure, the price felt a little steep. Installation was straightforward, though.
I was worried a universal jacket wouldn't actually fit, but this 18" worked fine with my existing burner. Really sturdy and it looks great built into my island. Recommend it for a clean, safe install.
Just what I needed to house my side burner properly. The stainless is good quality and setup was easier than I expected. Finishes off the look of my outdoor kitchen.
Don't overlook a good appliance jacket. This one gives my burner the clearance it needs and makes it look built in. Small detail but it makes a big difference in how the whole kitchen looks.
Glad this jacket is universal, saved me the hassle of hunting down a brand specific one. Fit is snug and secure and the material feels like it'll hold up outside. Very happy with it.
