Description
The Sunstone Series 30" Gas Hybrid Single Zone Charcoal/Wood Grill (Item No. SUNCHSZ30) cooks with gas, charcoal, wood and infrared in one compact built-in grill. You can smoke, sear or roast on it, with mesquite and other woods or with gas.
Two gas burners produce up to 30,000 BTUs, and an up to 15,000 BTU infrared back burner handles rotisserie cooking, for up to 45,000 BTUs total. The grill reaches searing temperatures over 800°F. An integrated electronic ignition system starts it, and the height-adjustable burn tray controls how hard the charcoal or wood burns. It takes customizable drawer setups and dual rotisserie options, with adjustable vents on the front, side and back of the hood.
Construction is 14 gauge 304 stainless steel. The grill measures 30" W x 25-3/4" H x 25-3/4" D, needs a cut-out of 27-1/2" W x 12-3/4" H x 22" D and weighs 170 lbs.

Shipping & returns
Shipping & Delivery
All orders ship free to the 48 contiguous United States.
Larger (freight) shipments are curb-side only. A signature and possibly assistance may be required for unloading. We will work with you to arrange a delivery date and time, but the final details will be between you and the freight carrier.
IMPORTANT: ALL LTL DELIVERIES ARE CURBSIDE UNLESS WHITE GLOVE FEES ARE PAID. All reports of damage must be made within 3 business days after delivery.
Receiving Your Shipment
When the shipment arrives, please do the following:
- Inspect every box carefully before signing. There is no such thing as damage that is too small: dents, tears, crushed corners, punctures, or scuffs should all be noted.
- Take clear photos of any box that shows damage.
- On the delivery receipt, write down exactly how many boxes have visible damage. If it is electronic, have the driver show you where to notate the damage. Before handing it back, take a photo of the document showing your notation.
After the driver leaves, please immediately open and inspect the items themselves. If you find any damage, contact us with the following:
- A photo of the item unboxed with the damage visible
- A close-up photo of the actual damage
- A photo of the delivery document where you noted the box damage
These steps ensure we can file a claim quickly and get any replacement parts or items to you without delay.
Returns & Exchanges
Returns are accepted within 60 days of original purchase, in original packaging and unused, for a full refund minus a 15% Restocking Fee.
We recommend insuring products when shipping back to us. Returns will be rejected if the product is received damaged.

This hybrid is a beast. I love switching between gas for quick weeknight dinners and charcoal or wood for real smoke flavor on the weekend. The infrared burner sears steaks really well, though it took me a couple tries to get the timing right.
Build quality on the 30 inch is solid, like I expected from Sunstone. Lots of cooking options with gas, charcoal and infrared. My gripe is the price. For nearly $4000 I expected the controls to be a little easier to figure out, but it cooks well once you get the hang of it.
I'm big into BBQ and this grill delivers. Being able to use charcoal and wood chips along with the gas burners means I can make everybody happy, and 30 inches is the right size for our family get-togethers.
I wanted a grill like this for years and it's better than I expected. Gas, charcoal, wood and infrared all in one compact grill is a great idea. Slow smoked ribs, seared tuna, it handles it all. It's the centerpiece of my outdoor kitchen now.
I'm a contractor and have put in a few Sunstone products. This 30 inch hybrid was easy to fit into a custom island like the others. My client loves having gas and charcoal, and the infrared burner is nice for a quick sear. Reliable, good quality grill.
