Description
The Sunstone Designer Series Raised Style 42" Double Door (DE-DD42) has a shelf behind each door for oversized grill tools, spices and other BBQ supplies, in a weather-sealed unit.
It measures 42" W x 5" D x 23" H and fits a 40-1/2" W x 21" H cut-out, matching the 23" height of the other Designer Series components. It sits 1-1/2" off the finished wall and has a 4" deep inside flange, so it works with veneer stone, stucco and masonry islands, and an extra 1/16" trim runs around all sides of the frame.
The frame is 16 gauge 304 stainless steel and the door panels are 18 gauge 304 stainless steel, with solid stainless steel rod handles. Soft-swing, cabinet-style hinges let each door open up to 90 degrees. It installs flush (built-in), horizontally or vertically, and matches Sunstone Cabinet Island products and other Designer Series components. See our warranty page for coverage.

Shipping & returns
Shipping & Delivery
All orders ship free to the 48 contiguous United States.
Larger (freight) shipments are curb-side only. A signature and possibly assistance may be required for unloading. We will work with you to arrange a delivery date and time, but the final details will be between you and the freight carrier.
IMPORTANT: ALL LTL DELIVERIES ARE CURBSIDE UNLESS WHITE GLOVE FEES ARE PAID. All reports of damage must be made within 3 business days after delivery.
Receiving Your Shipment
When the shipment arrives, please do the following:
- Inspect every box carefully before signing. There is no such thing as damage that is too small: dents, tears, crushed corners, punctures, or scuffs should all be noted.
- Take clear photos of any box that shows damage.
- On the delivery receipt, write down exactly how many boxes have visible damage. If it is electronic, have the driver show you where to notate the damage. Before handing it back, take a photo of the document showing your notation.
After the driver leaves, please immediately open and inspect the items themselves. If you find any damage, contact us with the following:
- A photo of the item unboxed with the damage visible
- A close-up photo of the actual damage
- A photo of the delivery document where you noted the box damage
These steps ensure we can file a claim quickly and get any replacement parts or items to you without delay.
Returns & Exchanges
Returns are accepted within 60 days of original purchase, in original packaging and unused, for a full refund minus a 15% Restocking Fee.
We recommend insuring products when shipping back to us. Returns will be rejected if the product is received damaged.

Just put these 42 inch doors in my new outdoor kitchen and they're great. The raised style looks sharp with my other Sunstone pieces, and the inside shelves keep all my BBQ tools and spices organized. Recommend them.
Just what I needed. 42 inches wide gives me a ton of storage under my grill, and the inside shelves keep stuff from piling up. The stainless feels really solid and I think it'll hold up to the weather here in Florida.
As a contractor I care about design and function, and these doors have both. The raised style looks custom and the 23 inch height fits under most standard counters. My clients are always impressed with the storage and the look.
Well built and the inside shelves are great for keeping things tidy. Install was easy. Minor gripe is the price, felt a bit steep for just doors, but the quality is definitely there.
Happy with these doors. They're really sturdy and open smoothly. The inside shelves are super useful for my griddle accessories and rubs, so everything's within reach when I'm grilling. Solid addition to my outdoor setup.
