Description
The Texan Series 16 Inch Reversible Single Door (Item No. TEX-16SD) is an access door for sink or side burner locations, cleanup zones and serving zones. It gives easy access to gas lines running to the grill and to storage inside the island.
The door measures 16-1/4" W x 20-1/2" H x 1-3/4" D and needs a cut-out of 14-1/2" W x 19" H. It is reversible: rotate it 180 degrees for a left or right swing. It opens up to 120 degrees, which keeps the door panel from dinging the island's exterior finish.
The frame and paneling are 304 stainless steel, with a 304 stainless steel rod handle. The even-toned No. 4 horizontal light brushed finish and large stainless steel rod handles sit well next to most other brands of grills and components. Texan Series components are built by Sunstone Metal Products LLC, a Texas company.

Shipping & returns
Shipping & Delivery
All orders ship free to the 48 contiguous United States.
Larger (freight) shipments are curb-side only. A signature and possibly assistance may be required for unloading. We will work with you to arrange a delivery date and time, but the final details will be between you and the freight carrier.
IMPORTANT: ALL LTL DELIVERIES ARE CURBSIDE UNLESS WHITE GLOVE FEES ARE PAID. All reports of damage must be made within 3 business days after delivery.
Receiving Your Shipment
When the shipment arrives, please do the following:
- Inspect every box carefully before signing. There is no such thing as damage that is too small: dents, tears, crushed corners, punctures, or scuffs should all be noted.
- Take clear photos of any box that shows damage.
- On the delivery receipt, write down exactly how many boxes have visible damage. If it is electronic, have the driver show you where to notate the damage. Before handing it back, take a photo of the document showing your notation.
After the driver leaves, please immediately open and inspect the items themselves. If you find any damage, contact us with the following:
- A photo of the item unboxed with the damage visible
- A close-up photo of the actual damage
- A photo of the delivery document where you noted the box damage
These steps ensure we can file a claim quickly and get any replacement parts or items to you without delay.
Returns & Exchanges
Returns are accepted within 60 days of original purchase, in original packaging and unused, for a full refund minus a 15% Restocking Fee.
We recommend insuring products when shipping back to us. Returns will be rejected if the product is received damaged.

This 16 inch door was exactly what I needed. Fits perfectly next to my sink, and since it's reversible it was easy to get the swing the way I wanted. Feels really solid.
Really impressed with this door. Being reversible made it easy to fit into my existing island. It's sturdy and looks great with my other Sunstone pieces. Recommend it if you're building an outdoor kitchen.
Got this door for my new outdoor kitchen and it's a winner. The stainless feels durable, and since it's reversible I didn't have to worry about left or right swing. Went in quick and looks sharp.
Good solid door for the price. Works well next to my side burner and being reversible was handy during install. Only minor complaint is the handle feels a little lighter than on their higher end lines, but it works fine.
Does the job, gives me access under the counter. 16 inches is a good size and it's reversible, which is nice. But for $186 I expected a nicer finish that doesn't show fingerprints so much. It's okay.
