Description
The Sunstone 42" 5-Burner Built-In Gas Grill w/IR (SUN5BIR) is a grill for an outdoor kitchen island, sized for large patio gatherings. It comes in natural gas or liquid propane.
Five burners put out up to 100,000 BTU across the 42" grilling area for zone cooking and searing. An infrared rotisserie burner (up to 15,000 BTU) roasts meats evenly, and a built-in smoker box and warming rack are included. The grates are 3/8" 304 stainless steel rods.
The grill is 304 stainless steel. Electronic ignition, interior lights for evening grilling and a roll-along drip tray for cleanup are standard. It hangs free in the island for airflow, so the island needs proper ventilation as described in the Sunstone Gas Grill Manual.

Shipping & returns
Shipping & Delivery
All orders ship free to the 48 contiguous United States.
Larger (freight) shipments are curb-side only. A signature and possibly assistance may be required for unloading. We will work with you to arrange a delivery date and time, but the final details will be between you and the freight carrier.
IMPORTANT: ALL LTL DELIVERIES ARE CURBSIDE UNLESS WHITE GLOVE FEES ARE PAID. All reports of damage must be made within 3 business days after delivery.
Receiving Your Shipment
When the shipment arrives, please do the following:
- Inspect every box carefully before signing. There is no such thing as damage that is too small: dents, tears, crushed corners, punctures, or scuffs should all be noted.
- Take clear photos of any box that shows damage.
- On the delivery receipt, write down exactly how many boxes have visible damage. If it is electronic, have the driver show you where to notate the damage. Before handing it back, take a photo of the document showing your notation.
After the driver leaves, please immediately open and inspect the items themselves. If you find any damage, contact us with the following:
- A photo of the item unboxed with the damage visible
- A close-up photo of the actual damage
- A photo of the delivery document where you noted the box damage
These steps ensure we can file a claim quickly and get any replacement parts or items to you without delay.
Returns & Exchanges
Returns are accepted within 60 days of original purchase, in original packaging and unused, for a full refund minus a 15% Restocking Fee.
We recommend insuring products when shipping back to us. Returns will be rejected if the product is received damaged.

This 5 burner has been great in our outdoor kitchen. The infrared burner sears steaks perfectly and the whole thing feels really solid. Easy to install into our existing setup, and having it on natural gas is so convenient.
We host a lot and this 42" grill handles everything we throw at it, burgers to whole chickens. Heat is even across all five burners and cleanup is easier than I expected. Really premium grill.
As a contractor I appreciate good craftsmanship and this grill doesn't disappoint. Heavy duty stainless, and the infrared burner is great for getting a good crust. Went right into our custom island.
Cooks great, especially the infrared burner. But for the price I expected the grates to feel more substantial. The igniters can be a little finicky too, sometimes it takes a couple tries to light.
This 5 burner cooks really well and the infrared is nice for searing. Looks great in our outdoor kitchen, but honestly the cost felt a bit steep. Hoping it holds up long term for what we paid.
